Rejuvention and Aesthetics Defined
Rejuvenation and aesthetics refers to medical and cosmetic treatments that are designed to improve the appearance and youthful quality of the skin, as well as to address various signs of aging. These treatments can include a wide range of procedures, such as injectable treatments (such as Botox or fillers), laser treatments, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, among others.
They may be used to address a variety of concerns, including wrinkles, fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture, sun damage, and more. The goal of rejuvenation and aesthetic treatments is to improve the overall appearance of the skin, helping it to look and feel smoother, firmer, and more youthful. Here are a few examples below:
Skin Therapies
Skin therapies are treatments that are used to improve the health and appearance of the skin. There are many different types of skin therapies available, and they can be used to address a wide range of skin concerns, such as acne, wrinkles, sun damage, uneven skin tone, and more. Some examples of skin therapies include:
- Topical medications, such as creams, gels, or ointments that are applied to the skin
- Facial treatments, such as facials, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion
- Injectable treatments, such as Botox or fillers
- Laser treatments, such as laser resurfacing or laser hair removal
- Light therapies, such as LED light therapy or phototherapy
Skin therapies may be performed by a variety of medical professionals, such as dermatologists, aestheticians, or plastic surgeons. The specific treatment that is recommended will depend on the individual's skin concerns and goals.
Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure in which a device with fine needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin. The goal of this treatment is to stimulate the production of collagen, a protein that helps to support the structure of the skin and promote skin healing.
Microneedling is typically used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, uneven skin tone, and other skin concerns. The procedure is usually performed by a trained medical professional and may be done in a doctor's office or other medical setting. After treatment, the skin may appear red and swollen, but these side effects typically resolve within a few days.
Platelet Rich Plasma
The technique of using an individual's blood plasma which contains a huge reservoir of Bioactive proteins including growth factors that accelerate regeneration. It can be used for dermal rejuvenation and to regrow hair in certain types of hair loss. For more information see the section on platelet-rich plasma under services.
NLAL Lipo
NLAL is the safe and simple evolution of standard liposuction. Using the power of the latest cold LED Light Therapy, NLAL is the natural and healthy way to lose inches specifically targeted on the abdomen, waist, back, hips, thighs, upper legs, arms, and even the chin. NLAL is a method of body contouring improvement with essentially no side effects.
The paddles are comfortably applied to the treatment area while the client undertakes a simple 20-minute exercise routine. As light therapy triggers the fat cells to release the triglycerides and fatty acids, they are utilized during the exercise process and inch loss is the result.
NLAL is the only portable light therapy system that affords the client less time spent in treatment, as the therapy and exercise are done concurrently. Another major advantage is that people who are resistant to weight loss can now get over their plateau by losing their stubborn targeted fat. Ultimately, the entire process is non-invasive, relaxing, pain-free, soothing, and affordable.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique in which thin needles are inserted into specific points on the body to promote healing and alleviate pain. There is some evidence to suggest that acupuncture may be helpful for certain skin conditions, such as acne and eczema. For example, a review of several studies found that acupuncture may be effective in reducing the severity of acne and improving the overall appearance of the skin.
However, more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits of acupuncture for the skin and to determine the best way to use this therapy for specific skin concerns. It is important to note that acupuncture should only be performed by a trained and licensed acupuncturist.
Photobiomodulation
Photobiomodulation, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or cold laser therapy, is a treatment in which low-level lasers or light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are used to stimulate healing and reduce inflammation. The light energy from the lasers or LEDs is absorbed by cells in the body, which can then stimulate the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and help to repair damaged cells.
Photobiomodulation has been used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including pain, wounds, and skin conditions. There is some evidence to suggest that it may be helpful in reducing the appearance of scars, improving the texture of the skin, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits of photobiomodulation and to determine the best way to use this therapy for specific skin concerns.
Infrared Sauna
An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared heaters to emit infrared heat, which is absorbed by the body to create a warming effect. Some people believe that using an infrared sauna can have a number of health benefits, including improving circulation, reducing stress, and helping with weight loss.
There is some limited evidence to suggest that infrared saunas may also be helpful for skin care. For example, one study found that using an infrared sauna for 30 minutes per day for three weeks resulted in an improvement in skin elasticity and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles. However, more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits of infrared saunas for skin care and to determine the optimal frequency and duration of use for this purpose.
It is important to note that infrared saunas should be used with caution, as they can cause dehydration and may not be suitable for everyone.
