Join Guest Speakers: Dr Monica Aggarwal, MD & Dr Jyothi Rao, MD, ABAAHP, FAARFM on Friday September 23rd, 6:30PM-8:30PM at The Whole Foods Market, Annapolis Culinary Center.
Dr. Aggarwal is a cardiologist from Baltimore, MD, board certified in cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She has expertise in heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, women’s heart disease and prevention. Her path in prevention started when she developed a debilitating illness. This life changing illness made her reexamine her path as a physician. She learned the role of diet in triggering illness by studying integrative medicine at the University of Arizona and spending time with gastroenterologists who taught her the role of the gut in inflammation. In treating herself with lifestyle and diet changes, she has been able to then treat her patients better, more effectively.
Dr. Jyothi Rao, MD, ABAAHP, FAARFM, has been practicing medicine for the past 16 years. She received her Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed her internship and residency at the prestigious New England Medical Center (Tufts) in Boston. Before opening Shakthi Health & Wellness Center, Dr. Rao practiced medicine in New York and Maryland.
In this session, Dr.s Aggarwal and Rao will discuss some of the great spices from around the world and learn how they can enhance your cooking and decrease your risk of illness. This is Drs. Aggarwal and Rao’s final talk prior to Dr. Aggarwal leaving for Florida. Books will be available for purchase and signing!
