More people are on, searching for a happier life. One tool has been through mind /body techniques. Meditation and Yoga practices are on the rise in the US. Meditation can aid in emotional stability but also help with reducing the effects of stress on the brain. Studies have shown that people who dwell on the past and future tend to be less happy than people who focus on being in the present. In addition, mindfulness has been shown to help with sleep disturbance, anxiety, glycemic control and other medical conditions.
